Salmon Restoration Hike

This hike will wind through the shady redwood forest and down to the East Branch of Russian Gulch creek where coho salmon were recently documented for the first time in 60 years. At various stops along the way, we will learn about our local salmonid species and the watershed restoration work of The Wildlands Conservancy here on the preserve.

The hike will be about 4 miles with 400' of elevation gain, with a short distance along dry creek bed on uneven cobble stones. Be prepared to carpool from the preserve parking lot about a mile up to a private entrance where we will begin the hike.
