Let's discover the handful of incredible old-growth trees that remain in this forest in recovery. 7 miles with 300' of elevation gain.

About the hike:

Despite a century of logging operations, including clear-cutting, there remains reminders of the forest's original granduer. This 7 mile guided hike will take us to areas not normally open to the public to seek out the remaining individual old-growth trees and learn about our efforts to restore the forest and its important ecological functions. Be prepared to carpool from the parking lot about a mile up a dirt road to the trailhead.
