Jscreen Genetic Testing Event

Join Jewish Family Service and Jscreen for a genetic testing event!

Jscreen offers genetic disease testing for inherited conditions that are more common in the Ashkenazi Jewish population. This includes testing for conditions like Tay-Sachs, Canavan disease, and Gaucher disease, which are part of the reproductive carrier panel.

Whether or not you identify as Jewish, our at-home genetic tests are designed to be inclusive, accurate, and actionable for people of all backgrounds. 

• Hereditary Cancer Testing: learn your inherited cancer risk with testing for BRCA1, BRCA2 and more than 60 other cancer related genes.
• Reproductive Carrier Screening: learn your risk for Tay-Sachs Disease, cystic fibrosis, and over 260 other conditions you could pass on to your future children.

Anyone interested in learning more about their personal health risk can get tested but it can be especially helpful for anyone with a family history of cancer, anyone of Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, and anyone who wants to be proactive about their health.

Pre purchase your genetic testing kit at jscreen.org. Enter event code 2026JFSTW to receive the testing kit for $18 off the upfront fee. The rest is billed to your insurance. Self-pay also available.

Testing kits will be available to pick up and on site screening will begin starting at 4:00PM. Jscreen program will begin at 6:00PM. Kits will be available for purchase at the event as well. Preorder is recommended.
