RITA is a powerful new documentary offering a deeply personal perspective on trauma, survival, and healing in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 massacre at the Nova Festival in Re’im, southern Israel.
Directed by award-winning Israeli filmmakers Tali Shemesh and Asaf Sudry, the film follows Nova survivor Rita Yedid as she rebuilds her life. Blending raw and intimate footage from the months after the Hamas attack with present-day reflections — including a moving tour of the Nova site at Re’im — Rita’s journey reveals how she has transformed from survivor to motivational speaker.
At its heart, RITA is about the human capacity to heal, and a reminder that even in the darkest moments, it is possible to choose connection, hope, and life.
