Prison Reimagined: Presidential Portrait Project Registration

Registration has ended

About This Event

We are honored to partner with Workhouse Arts Center for Prison Reimagined: Presidential Portraits Project (PRP3).

This unique exhibition, which will be traveling in the near future, features presidential portraits created by artists living within the US carceral system, paired with narratives of presidents’ record on incarceration and personal writings on life behind bars as well as poetic visions of what true justice could look like. This project is the creation of journalist Caddell Kivett, one of the editors of Nash News, who is currently incarcerated at Nash Correctional Institution in North Carolina.

We previously held this exhibition with President Lincoln's Cottage in 2024.

Opening Reception

Our Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, February 8th from 5:30pm – 8pm at Workhouse Arts Center (9518 Workhouse Wy Lorton, VA 22079) and featured a guest panel and presentation.
