As an Associate Field Director, Justin serves alongside Justin and Dan in the work of building, growing and further developing the Field Network, which consists of the places, churches, and people to whom Upstream churches send. In this role, he specifically provides leadership for Upstream’s apprenticeship pathway, while also providing member care and pastoral support to sent ones.

Together with his wife, Katie, and their two children, Justin has devoted his ministry to helping people know Christ deeply and make Him known. After serving for many years in pastoral ministry and campus ministry, he now works alongside churches to identify, equip, and mobilize young adults for cross-cultural missionary apprenticeship opportunities. His experience in discipleship, leadership development, and pastoral ministry fuels a desire to help churches send healthy workers and provide meaningful care, coaching, and support throughout their missionary journey.

Katie serves as a Field Support Administrator. In this role, she provides administrative support for Upstream’s field ministry, helping coordinate apprenticeship logistics, orientations, events, and ministry processes. She also provides care, encouragement, and regular connection for women serving on the field, helping ensure they are supported throughout their missionary journey. 

Katie brings years of experience in ministry, hospitality, and relational care. Alongside her husband, Justin, she has been deeply involved in helping people grow in their faith and engage in God’s mission. She is passionate about encouraging others, building meaningful relationships, and creating environments where people can thrive spiritually and personally. Katie and her family reside in Tennessee, where she enjoys investing in her family, connecting with others, and supporting the work of the global Church.
