About This Event
Help KBFPC raise $25,000 this Spring!
Be one of the first fifty donors to contribute $500 or more before May 27, and as a thank you, join us for Sip & Shuck 2026 hosted by the highly acclaimed Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge. This unforgettable afternoon recognizes your significant contribution to ensuring rural Alaskans have access to essential services like birth control, breast and cervical cancer screenings, menopause care, and more — regardless of their ability to pay.
Your excursion begins with a scenic water taxi ride from Homer Harbor to China Poot Bay, home to the renowned Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge for 50 years. At your destination, you'll enjoy champagne and other beverages for sipping, shucked oysters hors d'ouevres and desserts, along with music by professional violinist Daniel Perry of the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra — all while surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Lodge family & team will provide personalized tours of the historic lodge and grounds. Guests can enjoy the decks and docks; explore the lodge, cabins, nearby trails, and beaches; or cozy up by the fire while enjoying the magical setting.
Accessibility: Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge is accessible by beach, there is no dock. When you register, water taxi transportation options will include boats with ladders and limited spaces on a landing craft.
Thank you to the vendors and donors who are supporting this experience!
On Sunday, May 31, KBFPC will also offer a tour of our clinic. Details will be sent to registered Sip & Shuck guests closer to the date.
