Keegan's 5th Annual Touch-A-Truck
Keegan Robert Langerfeld was born on October 10, 2020, and from the very moment he arrived, our world changed for the better. We instantly fell head over heels in love with our bleach-blonde, blue-eyed, joyful baby boy. Keegan was sweet, adventurous, shy, and full of light—he lit up every room he crawled into and brought endless laughter, joy, and love into our lives.
On the morning of what would have been his first birthday party, October 16, 2021, Keegan passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep. To this day, we have no explanation as to why he is no longer with us. His death has been classified as SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood). While we will spend the rest of our lives missing him and wishing he were still here, we are forever grateful for the 371 extraordinary days we had with him.
After Keegan passed, we couldn’t stop thinking about how he never got to experience the birthday celebration every child deserves. We spent months wondering how, or even if, we could celebrate his next birthday. But in our hearts, we knew we had to do something for our boy. And so, Keegan’s Touch-A-Truck was born.
That first year far surpassed anything we could have imagined. A parent we’d never met stopped to say, “Thank you for bringing this event to our community, and for teaching us about SUDC. We will think of Keegan always.” From that moment on, we knew this needed to be an annual tradition.
In just three years, this event has raised over $80,000 to support families experiencing unimaginable loss. And we know, with your help, we’ll continue to show Keegan just how deeply he’s loved while honoring children gone too soon and their families.
Please join us on Sunday, October 4th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Keegan’s 5th Annual Touch-A-Truck to help wish Keegan a happy heavenly 6th birthday. Enjoy a fun-filled day with fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, construction vehicles, demonstrations, food trucks, and more. There will be something for the whole family!
All proceeds will go towards the Keegan Cares Program at the Adalyn Rose Foundation.
Keegan's Touch-A-Truck is fun for the entire family! Vehicles of all kinds, food trucks, bounce house and obstacle course, hayride, face painting, petting zoo and much more!
