About This Event
Discover the natural wonders of Marsh Island Park with Kiawah Conservancy's senior ecological health and conservation coordinator, Lee Bundrick.
The group will meet at the bike pavilion in The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort parking lot (1 Sanctuary Beach Drive, Kiawah Island). Bikes will be provided courtesy of Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
From The Sanctuary, Lee will guide you on a 2.5-mile bike ride to Marsh Island Park. Once there, you'll explore the park's trails, learning about land conservation efforts and the ecological significance of maritime forest, saltmarsh, and hummock island habitats. Your walking tour will culminate at the lookout tower where you'll have a chance to take pictures of the beautiful marsh and vast extent of the Kiawah Conservancy's protected lands before biking back to The Sanctuary.
Space is limited and registration is required.

ABOUT THE CONSERVANCY
The Kiawah Conservancy is a nationally accredited land trust and chartered non-profit, Section 501(c)(3), organization. We strengthen the ecological health of the land, water, and wildlife of Johns, Kiawah, and Seabrook Islands through preservation, research, restoration, education, and advocacy.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Conservancy has permanently preserved 83 properties (3,875 acres) of pristine natural habitat. These lands safeguard critical wildlife habitat, protect water quality, and ensure the natural beauty of our sea islands will endure for generations to come.
