Celebrating Beauty, Resilience, and Transformation

Join us for the opening reception of ReStored: Kintsugi - an exhibition of Kintsugi art as a culmination of our workshops held at the ReStore throughout the first half of 2026. This free public event celebrates the power of restoration and the beauty that emerges when we come together.

Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of mending broken pottery with precious metals, transforming fractures into features and creating something more beautiful than the original. Through our workshop series, we have learned this meditative practice while building connections and sharing stories of resilience and renewal.

Experience the Exhibition

This opening reception offers the community a first look at the remarkable artwork created during our workshop series. You'll see individual pieces crafted by participants alongside collaborative works that tell our shared story of transformation and hope.

The exhibition reflects the mission at the heart of Ulster County Habitat for Humanity: building strength, stability, and hope through community. Just as Kintsugi honors the history of broken objects by highlighting their repairs with gold, Habitat celebrates the resilience of families and neighborhoods as we work together to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
