About This Event

To mark the 25th anniversary of International Overdose Awareness Day, the RISE Drug Free MKE coalition and partners are gathering overdose survivors and loved ones affected by overdose to events that honor the personal and community impact of the overdose epidemic.

Events include a resource fair, a community walk, speakers, free food, a memorial space, candle ceremony, and watching the Hoan Bridge light up purple in honor of the day. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend, but registration in advance is helpful.

These events are sponsored by the City of Milwaukee Health Department, Light the Hoan, Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services, Milwaukee County Parks, and RISE Drug Free MKE.
