Songbird Bander Training
Are you interested in becoming part of Beaver Creek Reserve’s Bird Banding Crew?
Join us for an introduction to bird banding. Participants will learn techniques to capture, hold, band, and take measurements of birds.
Discussions will also include Beaver Creek’s Avian Monitoring Program, benefits of bird banding, bird identification, and banding safety.
There are various opportunities for volunteers to find the role they are most comfortable participating in.
This is a training specifically for the banding program here at Beaver Creek Reserve.
After you have taken the training, you can continue practicing new skills at our Weekly Feeder Bird Banding project which is currently scheduled for Tuesday mornings.
Ages:18+
Cost: $80 for both Members and Non-members and $40 Students
Location: Monday at the Beaver Den and Tuesday at the Nature Center in the
Woodland Room.
Register by: Monday, April 6 | Walk-ins will not be accepted.
