Lafayette Farewell Dinner

Registration has ended

About This Event

Step into history and raise a glass where Lafayette once did! On September 7, 1825, the Marquis de Lafayette bid Alexandria farewell after his triumphant return tour of America. Now, 200 years later, we are celebrating Lafayette for one more evening of elegance, conversation, and celebration in the historic Ballroom of Gadsby’s Tavern.

Special to this event, we will hear from all three Lafayette interpreters who have helped to make the 2024/2025 Lafayette Bicentennial possible. Ben Goldman will focus on the Revolutionary War, Mark Schneider will share the French Revolution, and Michael Halbert will comment on the Grand Farwell Tour.

Savor the flavors of the past, mingle with history lovers, and honor the enduring ties between Alexandria and America’s favorite Frenchman.

💫 Cocktail Attire
🎟️ Space is limited—reserve your place at the table where history lives.
