In 2014, My Very Own Bed founder Michael Allen and a small group of volunteers came together with one goal: to provide children in the Twin Cities with a bed to sleep in.

We delivered our first bed that year. Then another. Then thousands more.

We just provided our 10,000th bed to a child — a milestone made possible by a community that believes every child deserves a safe, comfortable place to rest.

To celebrate, we’re raising $20,000 and collecting at least 100 new Dream Kit items — sheets, blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals that go along with every bed we deliver.
