Our cherished community tradition to benefit Pappus House returns –
Sunday, October 11, 2026 beginning at 5 PM at Cousler Park
with opportunities to connect, create, and celebrate the lives
of our beloved family, friends, and pets who have gone before us.
Pappus House offers two choices for lanterns:
Creating your own lantern is part of the healing. We know not everyone feels artistic, and that’s completely okay. What matters most is the personal message you choose to write — the words, memories, or names that come from your own heart.
Decorating your lantern yourself, even in the simplest way, is a meaningful part of the Lanterns of Light experience. Volunteers are here to support you, but the healing begins with your hands and your message.
Please note: If you choose to have our volunteers create your lanterns, the cut-off for ordering is Monday, October 5th to ensure our volunteers have adequate time to complete them.
A limited number of lanterns will be available for last-minute purchases at the event.
* In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Zion United Methodist Church on Carlisle Road. We will notify attendees by Saturday, October 10th if a change in location is necessary.
