The Wallen family established the Laura E. Wallen Memorial Scholarship to honor the life and legacy of Wilde Lake High School social studies teacher, Laura Wallen.

Laura believed in the amazing potential of each of her students and in each person’s ability to have a positive impact on our world. This scholarship embodies Laura's values and her belief in the power and potential of the students at Wilde Lake High School. The scholarship helps Wilde Lake High School graduates who wish to major in one of the social sciences and pursue college studies at a two or four-year institution. Recipients will receive between $1,000 and $2,500, which can be used to pay tuition, fees, or the cost of books.
