Have you thought about conserving your land, but aren’t quite sure what that entails? Learn about the basics of conservation easements and what this opportunity can do for you. Scenic Rivers Land Trust staff will provide information, options, and answers to your questions. Topics include eligibility criteria, financial benefits, standard easement terms, programs, processes & timelines.
An an exciting local grant program can provide a $3,000+ per acre incentive to encourage easements on forested land or land that could be planted in forest. Over the last two years, Scenic Rivers has helped landowners be awarded $2.3 million to protect their land.
This workshop is geared towards landowners with 10 acres or more.
This educational event is generously funded by BGE and the Paul & Maxine Frohring Foundation.
