     That’s certainly true for our Leader Dog teams. There’s a very special bond between our clients and their canine guides. It’s a feeling that there’s nothing they can’t achieve together. Together, they’re unstoppable.

 Andi, who has vision and hearing challenges, is a busy mom of three children whom she homeschools. She also works in online sales and  teaches sign language. She says that O&M training at Leader Dog made her life so much easier.

“The city - stoplights, cars - I can't always hear,  so using the vision that I do have, I combine  what I can hear with what I can see,” says Andi.  “The cane travel skills I developed during O&M  were extremely helpful and my anxiety just  disappeared.”

Then, last year, Andi and Leader Dog Elroy became a team. “Having Elroy has boosted my confidence even more. I feel like I can get places faster. I chose Leader Dog because of the DeafBlind program.”
