Leader Dogs are born to be someones hero. There are so many people who are blind waiting for their Leader Dog, and with your help, we can make those meaningful connections happen.
Connections like the one between John from Utah, who is both deaf and blind, and his partner, Lennon.
John enjoys walking with Lennon and visiting new places. “I would say that Lennon’s personality is very, very motivated,” John says.
Lennon's puppy raiser Marlo agrees, recalling, “From day one she was the sweetest, most affectionate puppy.”
Lennon worked through everything with solid fortitude. She gained
confidence and never let anything get in her way.
“Lennon spoke with her eyes; I could look in them and see ‘I can do this’ when I had her work through challenges and be successful,” says Marlo. “For me it parallels her working with John and helping him be more independent.”
Right now, there are so many others waiting for their very own Lennon. Your generous gift will help raise and train the next generation of much needed Leader Dogs. With your support, people who are experiencing one of life’s most overwhelming hardships — blindness — can still lead fulfilling, independent lives.
