About This Event
We're thrilled to invite you to our next Lunch and Learn, with John Yeager of Courage Keepers.
Thursday, March 13
Mark Fetter Center - Jeffersonville
Doors open and lunch served at 11:00am
The program will begin at 11:30pm and end promptly at 1:00pm
Recent research claims that self-regulation and bravery are the two most desired character strengths. As people leaders, we aspire to be “Courage Keepers” who demonstrate bravery and provide those we serve with the tools to build their "courage muscles," fostering a culture of bold action within our communities.
Courage is often simplified as fearless action, but it's a far more nuanced process. It's built through consistent habits and a well-developed internal framework that prepares us to act decisively when needed. Courage is the willingness to act when fear is present and being vulnerable by acknowledging our fears, uncertainties, limitations, and imperfections. It is a conscious choice driven by a sense of duty or commitment to ourselves, others, our communities, and the greater good.
This impactful and meaningful “Lunch and Learn” provides a step-by-step framework and two practical strategies to cultivate courage personally and professionally. You'll gain valuable insights and tools to:
- Develop Personal Courage: Strengthen your ability to make courageous decisions.
- Lead with Courage: Model, mentor, manage, and motivate others to build courage muscles.
About John Yeager
John is an educator, coach, storyteller, husband, and father who has spent much of his life studying, observing, and facilitating programs about what motivates people to do what they do. John is the Program Director at Leadership Marshall County, Indiana, and the Chief Education Officer at Yeager Leadership. He focuses on organizational behavior in community leadership, education, manufacturing, corporate, health care, and athletic organizations. John is facilitating Courage Keeper programs with Leadership Cincinnati, Leadership Marshall County, Leadership Southern Indiana, Saint Mary’s College – Notre Dame, IN, Marian University at Ancilla College, Endicott College, The Mind Trust – Indianapolis, Zimmer Biomet, and Zentis North America. He is excited about his current book project, Courage Keepers: A Guide to Brave Leadership and Inspiring Bold Action in Others.
