What is Leaders United?

Leaders United identifies, recruits, and connects local volunteers to leadership and policy-making roles across Northwest Georgia, such as nonprofit boards of directors, committees, and allocation review panels. United is the way we develop strong, informed community leaders.

Who should attend?

  • First-time or prospective nonprofit board members
  • Emerging leaders and professionals seeking community impact
  • Current board/committee members wanting a refresher

What you’ll learn

  • Board Roles & Responsibilities – how effective boards govern and support mission
  • Legal & Fiduciary Duties – oversight, compliance, and risk basics
  • Nonprofit Finance & Fundraising – budgets, audits, revenue streams, and donor relations
