Arts & Minds

Arts & Minds at LLMA invites invites adults with memory loss and their caregivers to explore art by LGBTQ+ artists. Through a gallery conversation and hands-on artmaking, we explore connection through art on view in Cuban artist Rocío García's absurdist and (homo)erotic exhibition, The Object of Power is Power.

Arts & Minds partners with museums to bring the joy of art to people living with dementia and their care partners. This program is free with advance tickets required, spots are limited. Artwork containing LGBTQ+ imagery will be on display.

Accessibility

Chairs with backs will be available. Located at 26 Wooster Street, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art strives to provide a welcoming environment to all visitors. Five external steps lead to our entrance doors: a wheelchair lift is available. All galleries are wheelchair-accessible, and a single-occupancy accessible restroom is located behind the visitor services desk: all restrooms are gender-neutral. Large print didactics are available.
