Performance: Daughter's Day

About This Event

P2C Collective, known affectionately as Pssy2Cnt, pops up in our gallery with an evening of curated performances that explore the artistic rigor defining trans-femme lived experience. Daughter’s Day honors bright and resonant voices from a new generation of trans women who intend to carry forward the legacies left by the revolutionary mothers who came before them.

The program will feature performances from NYC-based trans-femme artists Girls Girl, Saffronia, lili ilil, Thee Rose, and Hålo. Weaving together multidisciplinary performance spanning live music, poetry, and performance art, we reflect on daughterhood, lineage, and self-making across trans-femme experience.

P2C Collective is a multimedia grassroots collective created by and for transsexual women, producing art projects and gatherings to build mutual aid funds. Their latest publication, Femmespread: Vol. II, will be available for purchase. Beverages courtesy of Finback Brewery will be available after the showcase.

Accessibility
Chairs with backs will be available. Located at 26 Wooster Street, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art strives to provide a welcoming environment to all visitors. Five external steps lead to our entrance doors: a wheelchair lift is available. All galleries are wheelchair-accessible, and a single-occupancy accessible restroom is located behind the visitor services desk: all restrooms are gender-neutral. Large print didactics are available.
