Trans Health HQ Vet-a-Thon for Trans Day of Remembrance

About This Event

Trans Health HQ is a NYC-based organization and the world's largest free trans health resource hub, serving over 23,000 community members through a free vetted directory of trans-competent healthcare providers. On November 20, Trans Health HQ and the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art are co-hosting a Vet-a-Thon in honor of Trans Day of Remembrance. A Vet-a-Thon is a hands-on community workshop where volunteers verify and expand THHQ's Access & Info Hub.

To begin the evening, guests will be invited to view Shu Lea Cheang: LOVER LOVE. Over the course of two hours, attendees will confirm provider listings, add new ones, and close the gaps that keep trans New Yorkers from finding safe care. No special expertise is required. If you’ve ever tried to find affirming care and hit a dead end, or if you care about systems being sharper, safer, and easier to use, we want your help! Bring your laptop, lived experience, and detail-oriented brain. This is low-lift, high-impact collective care.

Accessibility
Chairs with backs will be available. Located at 26 Wooster Street, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art strives to provide a welcoming environment to all visitors. Five external steps lead to our entrance doors: a wheelchair lift is available. All galleries are wheelchair-accessible, and a single-occupancy accessible restroom is located behind the visitor services desk: all restrooms are gender-neutral. Large print didactics are available.

For questions or access requests, please email info@leslielohman.org with 1 week advance of your visit.
