About This Event

The non-profit production organization, Eastgate Creative, is taking its debut documentary series, The Forge of Friendship, on a sneak preview, post-production college tour.

Our culture seems to be losing the ability to build and maintain true, long-lasting friendships with those we don’t fully agree with on key issues of life. This documentary explores the history and impact of such a relationship, the friendship between two of the world’s most significant authors, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Through almost ten years of production, built on interviews with over forty of the top Lewis and Tolkien experts, with beautifully shot reenactment scenes in the historic locations of Oxford and Europe, The Forge of Friendship promises to capture the world's attention.

Great Lakes Christian College's own Professor of English and Humanities, Dr. Charlie Starr, was interviewed as a part of this series due to his internationally-recognized expertise on C.S. Lewis.

This FREE evening will feature a Q&A discussion with the documentary's Cinematographer, Director, and Producer and will include a curated preview of the post-production version of the series.
