Emily Mitchell-Harris, LCSW, RPT - Emily Mitchell-Harris Counseling

Dr. J. Harrison, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist who owns and operates Harrison Psychological Services, LLC and practices telehealth in 43+ states via PsyPact. She holds a Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology in Milwaukee, WI, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. With a direct and interpersonally driven approach, Dr. Harrison aims to help clients uncover deeper self-awareness and begin the process of healing from past and present challenges. She is particularly committed to supporting marginalized and underserved communities. Outside of work, Dr. Harrison enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking, continually finding inspiration in life’s learning experiences. Emily Mitchell-Harris (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist, licensed to serve clients in Missouri and Wisconsin. She has spent the past 8+ years working with kids, teens, and adults in schools, jail, a rehabilitation center, and clinical settings. Emily graduated with her social work undergraduate (2015) and graduate (2016) degrees from Saint Louis University with a children and youth specialization. She specializes in working with teens and young adults, treating anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and life transistions. She is LGBTQ+ allied, non-binary allied, and racial justice allied. Emily uses evidence-based practices to ensure quality service, and her goal is for her clients to feel safe, seen, heard, and understood during their work together so that they can explore their emotions, find their identity, and discover true, lasting healing. In her free time, Emily loves to read, try new restaurants, and hike with her dog Zeus!
