Linkage Community is creating our first Pop-Up Art Stop — and we want YOU to pop in and hang out with us!
When: Saturday, June 27 · 11AM–8PM
Where: Open Book Theatre · Trenton, MI
Cost: Free · All ages welcome
What's happening:
Linkage artists from across Michigan are taking over Open Book Theatre with:
- Original paintings, drawings, and prints for sale by the artists themselves
- Authors reading from and signing their books
- Live music and poetry performances throughout the day
PLUS, you can pop a squat in the lobby to make your own print, decorate a rubber duck, or both. Because... why not? We'll also have snacks on hand all day. Because... snacks!
Browse, listen, talk, dance, eat, print, duck. Stay for an hour, stay all day. Bring whoever you want.
Who we are:
Linkage Community is a statewide network of 200+ Michigan artists — painters, musicians, authors, poets, woodworkers, cooks, and a couple dozen other things. What connects us is our work as creative people and our lived experience of incarceration. The Pop-Up Art Stop is one day to share all of it.
Pop in for free. Chip in if you want. We're really excited to see you there.
