Luminaries and Legacies 2026

Registration has ended

Please join us for an evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at our inaugural Luminaries & Legacies gathering on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM, hosted at 22 Vanderbilt

Guests should enter the building at 335 Madison Avenue. Upon arrival, please check in with building security and provide the name of the event: Luminaries & Legacies. Security will direct you to the Mezzanine Level, where you will complete event check-in with a member of our team. Following check-in, please proceed to the 7th floor and follow directional signage to the event space.

This special evening will also recognize Dr. Robert Montgomery, renowned surgeon and humanitarian, with the LiveOnNY 2026 Luminary Award in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to organ donation and transplantation, and for expanding the boundaries of traditional medicine in service of saving lives. Dr. Montgomery serves as Chair of Surgery and Director of the NYU Langone Transplant Institute and is widely regarded as a global leader in the field.

We will also recognize the top five donor hospitals in 2025, honoring their exceptional partnership and the lasting legacies of life, hope, and healing they help create with the LiveOnNY 2025 Legacies Awards.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the LiveOnNY Foundation and advance our commitment to the future of healthcare through our new annual Scholarship Program. This program awards scholarships to students pursuing education and careers in health and human services, with priority given to individuals from donor families and transplant recipient households within our community.

It also sustains a wide portfolio of ongoing initiatives, including the Donate 8 Simulation Center, Sean’s Gift Blanket Program, Painted Legacies, and several other efforts designed to honor donors, uplift families, and strengthen the transplant community.
