2025 Greenville County Schools Foundation Hall of Fame

The Greenville County Schools’ Foundation’s primary mission is to support students by providing educational scholarships, to encourage students to join the teaching profession, and to support teaching and non-teaching staff by providing funding for advanced degrees, additional certifications, and professional development.

Each year, the Foundation hosts a Hall of Fame Gala to welcome the newest class of inductees into the Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame and bring awareness to the Foundation’s mission. This year’s GCS Hall of Fame class features six such individuals:

Graduates:

Lillian Brock Flemming - Public Servant and Sterling High Graduate

George "Mitch" Gault - Business Owner and Hillcrest High Graduate

Bill Haas - Professional Golfer and Riverside High Graduate

C. Dan Joyner - Business Owner and Greenville High Graduate

Dr. Hal and Minor Shaw - Philanthropists and Greenville High Graduates

Educator:

Pearlie Harris - Retired Teacher with Greenville County Schools

The 2025 Hall of Fame Gala, featuring an induction ceremony and dinner, will take place at the Greenville Convention Center at 5:30 p.m. on November 6, 2025. The GCS Hall of Fame is an opportunity to showcase individuals who were educated and developed in our community and went on to excel in an areas such as academia and education, arts, athletics, business, media, medicine, military, philanthropy, public service, or science.
