About This Event
The music industry is changing rapidly. New technologies, evolving business models, and shifting cultural expectations are redefining how music is created, discovered, and sustained. Yet at the center of it all remain the people whose vision, creativity, and leadership continue to shape the future.
Join songwriter, producer, and She Creates Noise host Sarah Nagourney for an afternoon of conversation with four distinguished women whose careers span publishing, artist development, music technology, creative leadership, and songwriter advocacy. Together, they will explore the changing landscape of the music business, the realities of building a creative life, the importance of mentorship and community, and the opportunities and responsibilities that come with leading through a period of extraordinary change.
Opening the program will be a special two-song performance by award winning singer-songwriter Toby Lightman, whose soulful songwriting, acclaimed recordings, and television placements have earned her a devoted following. Her performance will set the stage for an afternoon celebrating creativity and conversation.
