A Celebration of Quilting, Heritage & Community

Join us for Stitches on the Farm, a day celebrating the artistry, history, and traditions of quilting. From heirloom quilts to modern creations, discover how quilts have provided warmth, told stories, and preserved family traditions for generations. 

Throughout the day enjoy:

  • A lecture on the history of quilting
  • A trunk show
  • Vendor marketplace with quilting supplies and materials
  • Display of historic quilts
  • Special exhibit highlighting quilting artifacts from the museum's collection
  • Hands on children's activities that introduce young visitors to quilting in fun and engaging ways

Quilt Competition

Quilters are invited to showcase their creativity in our Farm-Themed Quilt Competition!

Competition Details:

  • Entry Fee:  $25/quilt
  • Theme:  Farming
  • Maximum Quilt Size: 36" x 36"
  • Open to quilters of all levels

Whether inspired by barns, livestock, gardens, harvests, tractors, wildflowers, or the beauty of rural landscapes, we invite you to stitch your own interpretation of farm life.

Spend the day exploring beautiful quilts, meeting talented makers, shopping with vendors, learning about the history of quilting, and enjoying family-friendly activities in a unique museum setting. We look forward to welcoming quilters, history enthusiasts, and visitors of all ages for this inaugural celebration of quilting and rural heritage.
