About This Event

For this winter Larsen Salon, Maxwell L. Anderson, former Melvin & Bren Simon Director & CEO of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, will provide an inside look at the 1957 Miller House & Garden—a landmark collaboration among Eero Saarinen, Dan Kiley, and Alexander Girard. He will trace its transformation from private family residence to public treasure nearly 20 years ago, revealing the practical and curatorial challenges of meticulously preserving an unparalleled convergence of design talent while welcoming thousands of visitors from around the world.

LongHouse Reserve’s Larsen Salon Series honors Jack Lenor Larsen (1927-2020) and facilitates thought-provoking conversations with designers, architects, and artists working at the intersection of art, architecture, design, and craft.
