MAK Center Architecture Tour Spring 2026
The MAK Center for Art and Architecture is pleased to invite you to the MAK Center Architecture Tour Spring 2026, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. From the San Fernando Valley to West Hollywood, our annual fundraising tour features five remarkable houses by R.M. Schindler, Raphael Soriano, and Lloyd Wright.
This year’s selected residences span the 1920s–1950s and spotlight the architects’ innovative techniques. They explored emerging construction methods utilizing plaster-skin, concrete textile blocks, and steel frames, which were new building materials of the time and continue to influence architecture in Los Angeles today.
The tour features Lloyd Wright's Studio (1927), Raphael Soriano’s Polito House (1940), and R.M. Schindler’s Wolff House (1938), Van Dekker House (1940), and Tucker House (1950). A ticketed reception will follow at the MAK Center at the Schindler House to celebrate the exceptional residences on the tour with aperitivo, and cocktail jams by DJ Cometa.
Tour and reception tickets directly support the MAK Center’s mission and public activation of three R.M. Schindler historic sites: Schindler House (1922), the Fitzpatrick-Leland House (1936), and the Mackey Apartments (1939).
The MAK Center is the California satellite of the MAK—Museum of Applied Arts Vienna. Unique in its role as a constellation of historic architectural sites and contemporary exhibition spaces, the MAK Center develops local, national, and international projects in art, architecture, and their intersections and tangents.

Heartfelt thanks to the homeowners for generously opening their homes. Additional thanks to Louis Magnano for his advisory contributions to the tour. MAK Center Architecture Tour Spring 2026 would not be possible without the staff and docents who steward these significant homes.
