Mangia! The Stories We Eat

About This Event

A Conversation About Food, History, Identity, Memory, and Culture

Food is more than nutrition and energy. Every dish has a story. Behind the ingredients we choose, the recipes we preserve, and the ways we gather around a table are stories of migration, family, identity, memory, tradition, and change.

Join us for The Stories We Eat, a lively conversation exploring the many ways food connects us to our past while creating new possibilities for the future. The foods we eat, and the stories we tell about them, can reveal who we are, where we come from, and how cultures evolve when people, traditions, and ideas come together.

Featuring:

Amanda Lanza, Food Anthropologist
Andrea Scuto, Manager, Musso & Frank Grill
Eugenio Perrier, Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano

Together, our panelists will bring different perspectives to the table, examining food not simply as something we consume, but as a powerful expression of human experience, culture, history, and connection.

After the discussion, please stay for a delicious tasting.

Special thanks to

Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Mangia! The Evolution of Italian Food in the United States.
