Presented by Mano A Mano Family Resource Center

Dia de Muertos - A Special Evening of Remembrance & Advocacy

Registration ends Wednesday, 09/30/2026 11:59pm CDT

About This Event

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a vibrant traditional Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a joyful family reunion.

Inspired by the traditions of Día de Muertos, this year, Mano a Mano invites our community to honor the lives of immigrants who have died in encounters with immigration enforcement, including in ICE detention centers. We will gather to remember them not simply for how their lives ended, but for how they lived—for the families they loved, the dreams they carried, and the communities forever changed by their absence.

Through community, we stand alongside those who carry their loss. And through action, we reaffirm our commitment to a future where every immigrant is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
