Vendor Reminders

ARRIVAL/SETUP

  • On Saturday, November 21, we will open the park for set up at 2:00 p.m.
  • You cannot arrive any earlier as Morris Park is open to the public and won't be closed until 2 p.m.  Vendors will be directed to drive all the way around the park for placement in the Artisan Village.
  • ONLY ONE CAR PER VENDOR IS PERMITTED TO PARK ON THE PROPERTY.
  • Spaces will be based on a first come, first serve basis.
  • The order in which you arrive is the order in which you will be placed.
  • You will be asked to immediately unload your vehicle and proceed to parking at the water filtration plant located in the park.
  • Volunteers will assist you in unloading.
  • We will have a van to shuttle you down.
  • All food vendors will be directed to a separate area located near the first pavilion in the park.
  • Thanks to very generous sponsors, we will once again have sandwiches, chips and drinks available to you in the Artisan Village toward the end of set up.

VENDOR SPACE

  • We are planning to make each participant’s space roughly 10’X10’.
  • However, with the Market being outdoors, the measurements may not be exact, so be prepared for uneven surfaces and maybe a little mud.
  • You may bring pop-ups and other coverings.
  • If you’re using electricity, you can bring Christmas or market lights to string.   Anything that you need to plug in must be low voltage, as the grid is incredibly sensitive.  For that reason, we cannot allow electric space heaters, coffee pots, etc.
  • PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN EXTENSION CORDS to plug into adjacent light displays!!!!!!!!
  • We ask that you be completely set up and parked by 4:30 p.m., as patrons will be bussed to the park promptly at 5:00 p.m.
  • Also, we ask that you not set your tent up too far into the roadway.
  • Keep in mind that we must have enough room for an emergency vehicle to pass through the park.
  • Volunteers will also be ensuring that ample space will the left in the roadway.

PATRONS/GUESTS

  • Those attending the Market will be asked to park at East Fairmont High School or East Marion Park and they will be shuttled over beginning at 4:45 p.m.
  • The last shuttles to bring incoming patrons will be at 8 p.m.
  • No one can leave the park in a car until after 9 p.m.
  • Admission to the Market is $5.00 per adult, and children under the age of 12 are free.

FOOD VENDORS

  • Food vendors need a Marion County mobile food permit from the Marion County Health Department.
  • They will come to check that everyone is in compliance during set up.
  • If ANY vendor is serving anything that is not prepackaged, a permit is required.
  • You can call the health department at 304-367-2752 to obtain a permit.

PACKING UP/EXITING PARK

  • We will also be adhering to our exit strategy for leaving the park at 9 pm to ensure vendor traffic flows more smoothly while also taking into consideration everyone’s safety.
  • When you arrive, you will be given a number to display on your dashboard and parked in numerical order.
  • Each number will be given an allotted time to have one person return via shuttle to the vendor parking lot.
  • Vehicles will them be released to return to the Artisan Village in numerical order according to where you were set up.
  • We must stress that no one is permitted to exit the parking lot until AFTER 9 pm.
  • If you do not arrive at the shuttle at your designated time, you’ll have to wait until the other groups have gone.
  • An auxiliary police officer will be directing exiting traffic.
  • It is critical that everyone stay in the correct order to avoid a massive traffic jam while exiting.
  • We know it's a long day and we appreciate everyone's cooperation while trying to empty the park.
