Presented by Marshalltown Area United Way

MAUW Duck Race

Registration ends Saturday, 05/09/2026 11:59pm CDT

About This Event

Marshalltown Area United Way is excited to host our first-ever Rubber Duck Race!

Adopt a duck and watch as hundreds of bright, colorful rubber ducks make a splash while racing down Linn Creek in a one-of-a-kind community event. It’s a fun and lighthearted way to support local programs that strengthen Marshall County.

Duck adoptions are for just $5 per duck or $25 for a Quack Pack (6 ducks) giving everyone a chance to join the race and cheer on their lucky duck!

Bring the whole family for a fantastic day filled with laughs, excitement, and community fun. You won’t want to miss this inaugural event! 🦆💙

The Marshalltown Area United Way Rubber Duck Race does not offer refunds. If the event is unable to take place as scheduled due to local, state, or federal mandates, weather conditions, or any other unforeseen circumstances, all duck adoptions will be considered a charitable donation to Marshalltown Area United Way.

There is a backup plan in place should Linn Creek not be flowing at an adequate rate, as well as contingency plans for severe weather on the day of the event.

Please note that adopted ducks remain the property of Marshalltown Area United Way and will not be returned to adopters following the race.
