About This Event

Give your child a summer experience that inspires compassion, curiosity, and confidence!

The Texas Humane Heroes Summer Camp Experience is a 5-day educational day camp for children ages 8–12, hosted on the beautiful 22-acre property of Texas Humane Heroes. Surrounded by nature, trails, and the animals we care for every day, campers will enjoy a unique setting that combines outdoor exploration with hands-on learning.

From June 8–12, 2026, campers will spend each day from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM engaging in interactive lessons, crafts, outdoor activities, and special guest presentations from community partners. Throughout the week, children will learn about dog and cat body language, bite prevention, pet first aid basics, Central Texas wildlife and plants, and the importance of conservation and humane treatment of animals.

Our expansive 22-acre campus provides the perfect environment for discovery, with space for nature walks, scavenger hunts, outdoor games, and up-close learning experiences that connect kids to animals and the natural world in a safe, structured setting. With a small camp size limited to just 20 campers, each child receives a personalized and meaningful experience.

Lunch will be provided daily thanks to the generous support of our community partner restaurants, along with light snacks and water.

Registration Fee: $350 per child
Dates: June 8–12, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Ages: 8–12

Proceeds from camp directly support lifesaving animal care, humane education, and community outreach programs, making your child’s summer experience both fun and impactful. Spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.

Allergy Notice: Some camp crafts and enrichment activities will involve the use of peanut butter and other common food ingredients. While we take care to maintain a safe environment, families of children with peanut or food allergies should take this into consideration when registering and notify staff of any allergies in advance.
