Medical Missionaries seeks to improve healthcare and support for the poor in the USA and elsewhere in the world. These are the three main areas we serve:

Provide Aid and Disaster Relief in the USA:  Medical Missionaries sends items including medical equipment, clothing, health and household supplies to those in need in the USA, primarily in the Virginia/DC area, West Virginia, Appalachia, and Indian Reservations in Oklahoma and South Dakota. Medical Missionaries responds to disaster relief needs wherever they occur. We have sent disaster relief supplies for victims of hurricanes, floods and tornadoes.

International Disaster Relief and Shipments of Medical Supplies:  Medical. Missionaries partners with variety of groups to send medicines, medical supplies and medical equipment to help build healthcare infrastructure in some of the poorest countries throughout the world and also provide disaster relief supplies. We have sent sea containers of health equipment and supplies to help those in need in 37 countries in Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Our volunteers secure supplies, sort and prepare them for shipment, and load the sea containers.

Haiti – St. Joseph Clinic: In 2007 Medical Missionaries built a clinic (hospital) that serves the residents of Thomassique and 125,000 residents of the region. St. Joseph Clinic is staffed by Haitian medical professionals. Teams of doctors and nurses from the U.S. visit the clinic several times each year to assist with special procedures and to provide professional development for the Haitian staff. Clinic programs have grown to not only provide basic medical care, but to improve maternal and infant care, overcome childhood malnutrition, provide vaccinations to prevent disease, and encourage the use of safe water purification systems
