About This Event
We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.”
~ Irving Townsend
When our beloved animal companions pass on, we’re often left with an emptiness in our hearts and our lives. The complicated emotions of grief and loss can be difficult to process; we long to hold their memory close, and we also need to find a way to feel joy again. It is possible to have both – a reverence for the time we shared, and a meaningful life as we move forward.
Join us at Medicine Horse for an evening of guided meditation, journaling, and mindful walking, as mindfulness teacher and animal advocate Diana Hulet guides us in a gathering to support each other and to honor the animal companions who have passed on.
The evening is free for participants, sponsored by Pamela T. in honor of her beloved Nadia, who spent the last few months of her twenty-one years at Medicine Horse, passing away before she could use her empathy, tenderness, and grace as a therapy horse.
It is Pamela’s deep wish that this evening will be Nadia’s gift to those who are seeking peace in the midst of loss.
