WJCS Family Service Days help children learn the value of giving back while supporting neighbors in need. On Monday, October 12, 2026, in observance of Columbus / Indigenous Peoples Day, families will come together to pack hygiene kits for adolescents receiving services in WJCS school-based mental health clinics throughout Westchester County.

Imagine being a teenager without access to basic essentials like shampoo, deodorant, or toothpaste. WJCS clinicians provide hygiene kits to students who need them, helping them feel confident, cared for, and ready to succeed in school. 

At This Event, Volunteers Will:

• Pack hygiene kits for local middle and high school students
• Create an inspiration collage to welcome students to WJCS clinics
• Hear from WJCS social workers about supporting underserved youth in Westchester schools

Our Goal: Pack 70 Hygiene Kits!

There are 2 volunteer shifts available: 

• Morning shift: 10:00-11:30 AM
• Afternoon shift: 1:00-2:30 PM

The registration fee for each child is $20. Adults attend for free. Pre-registration required and space is limited. Your registration fee covers the cost of one hygiene kit. Additional donations are greatly appreciated and help us serve even more students. Pizza and refreshments will be served!

We also encourage you to donate or purchase an item from our wishlist and have them delivered to WJCS or bring them with you on the day of the packing event.

Children under the age of 14 cannot be left unattended.
