At just 22 months old, Micah has been diagnosed with PROS CLOVES Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes vascular, lymphatic, and tissue overgrowth. Most recently, Micah has been recovering from paralysis caused by the progression of this complex condition.

As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll on the Abernethy family has been overwhelming. Between specialized medical care, frequent hospital visits, travel expenses, and everyday living costs, they have exhausted their savings while focusing on helping Micah heal.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Mitchell Thorp Foundation was honored to provide immediate assistance to help cover the family's rent and provide gas gift cards for travel to and from the hospital. While this support has provided much-needed relief, their journey is far from over.
