About This Event

Join us for our first ever fun run event! This race is a great way to get your workout in while supporting an important cause; every registration helps us provide lifesaving care to local animals in need. If running a 5k isn't your speed, register for the 1 mile walk instead! 

Please be sure to read our event guidelines:

  • Race check-in will open at 7:30am, with the race beggining at 8:00am
  • Please be respecful of all other race participants and event attendees. This includes using appropriate language, passing others on the course with courtesy, and refraining from running or walking in group sizes that prevent others from passing on the course. 
  • The 5k race route will include 3 laps around the lake, while the 1 mile walk will be 1 lap around the lake
  • To be guaranteed a race shirt, please register by 7/24/26. After this date, shirts will be given on a first come first serve basis until our stock runs out
  • Registration Fees are as follows: Adults - $30, Kids 13 & Under - $20, Kids 5 & Under - Free! (No registration required)
    • Please note that all race registration fees are non-refundable. In the event that the race must be cancelled, your registration fee will be considered a donation to CNHS and will be used to provide care for the animals at our organization
  • All children must be accompanied and monitored by an adult at all times

You are welcome to bring your dog along as a running buddy! If you do bring your dog to the event, please be sure to follow these guidelines:

  • All dogs must be registered for the event and up to date on their rabies vaccination to attend. Owners must provide CNHS with a copy of their dog's rabies vaccination certificate in order to complete their registration for the event. 
  • Dogs must remain on leash and be under the control of their owner at all times
  • Participating dogs must be dog and people friendly. Dogs showing dominate or aggressive behaviors will be asked to leave. Female dogs in heat are not allowed to participate. 
  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and their animals. Please do not leave trash or pet waste behind. 
  • If a dog or owner is repeatedly violating any of the event guidelines, they will be asked to leave by event staff
