Thanksgiving Spice Kit & Food Pantry Drive 2026

About This Event

WJCS Family Service Days help children learn the value of giving back while supporting neighbors in need. On Wednesday, November 11, families will come together to pack Thanksgiving Spice Kits and sort donations for clients accessing our Food Pantry.

Nearly 500 families have registered to receive weekly donations from our Food Pantry. The need has grown dramatically over the past year. Help us stock our pantry for Thanksgiving.

At This Event, Volunteers Will:

  • Create Thanksgiving Spice Kits. Spices bring dignity and flavor to each family's holiday table.
  • Decorate oven mitts
  • Hear from WJCS Food Pantry Staff about the growing need in Westchester communities.

Our Goal: Pack 70 Thanksgiving Spice Kits!

There are 2 volunteer shifts available:

  • Morning shift: 10:00-11:30 AM
  • Afternoon shift: 1:00-2:30 PM

The registration fee for each child is $25. Adults attend for free. Pre-registration required and space is limited. Your registration fee covers the cost of one Thanksgiving Kit. Additional donations are greatly appreciated and help us serve even more families. Pizza and refreshments will be served!

We also encourage you to donate or purchase an item from our wishlist and have them delivered to WJCS or bring them with you on the day of the packing event.

Children under the age of 14 cannot be left unattended.
