If Walls Could Talk: A Domestic Violence Survivor's Harrowing Story of Silence to Strength

Registration ends Thursday, 10/01/2026 12:00pm PDT

About This Event

Have you ever read a Stephen King thriller, fallen asleep, and awakened in a cold sweat—heart racing, momentarily convinced you were trapped inside the nightmare you had just experienced? The relief that comes when you realize it was only a dream can be overwhelming.

But for many women, the nightmare isn’t fiction. It isn’t a story written on pages. It is their reality. And when they open their eyes each morning, the fear, trauma, and uncertainty are still there.

This summer, we invite you to read a story that will stay with you long after you turn the final page—If Walls Could Talk by Sandee Jo Crocker.

Sandee Jo is an accomplished author, philanthropist, and national advocate for raising awareness around domestic violence. But before she became a voice for survivors, she was a woman fighting to survive her own unimaginable nightmare. Her powerful memoir shares her harrowing journey of living through years of abuse, being married to a preacher’s son, and the shocking tragedy that ultimately changed her life forever.

Yet this is not only a story of pain—it is a story of courage, faith, resilience, and hope.

Sandee Jo’s heart is to bring light into the darkest places, raise awareness around domestic violence, and help provide safe refuge for women and children fleeing crisis situations. In alignment with that mission, Sandee Jo has generously chosen to donate proceeds from book sales to support M Perfectly’s vision of creating the Ranch of Refuge—a place where women can find safety, healing, restoration, and a pathway toward a brighter future.

We courageously invite you to join us for this meaningful journey:

📖 August: Read If Walls Could Talk
💻 September: Participate in a virtual book discussion
🤝 Friday, October 2: Join us in Bend for a powerful in-person panel discussion with Sandee Jo Crocker

This is more than a book. It is an opportunity to listen, learn, have courageous conversations, and become part of a community committed to ending the cycle of abuse and creating spaces where survivors can heal.
