About This Event
Thank you for Registering for the one day Foundations course. In the Life Skills component of the program, the engaged couple will participate in a series of personal presentations by married couples and the priest. After each presentation the two of you are asked to respond to questions in the workbook provided and to discuss with each other the answers to those questions. Some topics that will be discussed are; communication, conflict resolution, time and money management and more.
In the Theological component of the program, the engaged couple will receive an overview of Pope John Paul’s teaching concerning the Theology of the Body and the Theology of the Family. After each presentation the two of you are asked to respond to questions in the workbook provided and to discuss with each other the answers to those questions.
If you are registering for both the Theology Day and Life Skills classes, please contact our office for a possible discount.
It is important to note that the completion of only one type of foundations class is required; however, it is encouraged to take both types. If taking only one class, please consult with the priest/deacon preparing you for marriage when deciding on which class to take. Each conference/retreat will last approximately eight hours and includes Sunday Mass/Vigil and a catered lunch.
