About This Event
Celebrate International Mud Day with Apple Playschools at the Leslie Science & Nature Center! Whether you want to dive into our giant mud pit, make new recipes in the mud kitchen, or enjoy "less-messy" activities like face painting and clay building, there is something for every Mud Monster and children of all ages. This community event is free this year thanks to our sponsors, but you can help us reach our $26,000 goal by purchasing event swag or donating directly to our Scholarship Fund. Join us to get down and dirty for a great cause - giving the gift of muddy and messy play to every child in our community.

"I really want my kid to play in the mud and chew on sticks, but watching him do it gives me hives. I'm so glad he can come to Apple Playschools and have a place to do this." - Apple Playschools Parent

Your donations support childcare access in our community.
The early years of a child's life are essential for nurturing self-expression, learning, and lifelong commitment to social justice values. At Apple Playschools, we believe it takes an entire community to ensure young children have access to excellent care and education.
While Mud Day brings our mission to life in one joyful and muddy afternoon, the need for affordable child care continues year-round. All proceeds from our Mud Day fundraiser support Apple Playschools' Scholarship Fund, and make it possible to provide discounted tuition options for families
