The Vacaville Museum welcomes Verismo Opera to the Museum! Verismo Opera is a cooperative opera group that includes skillful singers, orchestral musicians and artists who collaborate to present imaginative, low-cost but quality opera productions in a variety of settings in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Verismo Opera favorites Liliane Cromer (mezzo-soprano) and Eliza O’Malley (soprano) join forces with Bay Area virtuoso pianist Chun Mei Wilson to present a concert of favorite Italian gems! The concert will feature celebrated works by Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, Vincenzo Bellini and more!
Eliza O’Malley (soprano)
San Francisco Bay Area soprano Eliza O’Malley has performed leading opera roles throughout Northern California. Most recently she has performed the roles of Puccini’s Tosca and Suor Angelica; Prokofiev’s Maddalena; Verdi’s Luisa Miller, Violetta (La Traviata) and Leonora (Il Trovatore); and Bellini’s Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi).
O’Malley recently made her debut with the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Marc Taddei singing a scene from Puccini’s La Bohème. She and Liliane Cromer look forward to joining the VSO on April 18th 2027 to sing the solos in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
O’Malley acts as Artistic Director for both Verismo Opera and Berkeley Chamber Opera. She has also sung roles with The Handel Opera Project, Goat Hall Productions/San Francisco Cabaret Opera, The Santa Cruz Chamber Orchestra, Oakland Opera Theater, Berkeley Opera and Solo Opera.
Liliane Cromer (mezzo-soprano)
Liliane Cromer, mezzo-soprano, graduated from the Université des Sciences Humaines and Conservatoire de Musique, in Strasbourg, France. She received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at SJSU. She has appeared in many leading roles, with Bay Shore Lyric Opera, Berkeley Chamber Opera, Solo Opera and with Verismo Opera. Her most recent roles include Adalgisa in Norma by Bellini, Ammeris in Aida, and Azucena in Il trovatore by Verdi, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni. Most recently she performed Romeo in Capuleti e i Montecchi with Verismo Opera in Vallejo.
Ms. Cromer has performed in recitals, oratorio and opera in Europe and North America. She is honored and excited to perform with Eliza and Chun Mei at the Vacaville Museum.
Chun Mei Wilson (Pianist)
Chun Mei Wilson has performed for Festival Opera, Livermore Valley Opera, Verismo Opera, Jarvis Conservatory, and the Bracebridge Dinners at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. Ms. Wilson apprenticed as a prompter at San Francisco Opera. She had the privilege of coaching the world-renowned Frederica Von Stade from 1997 until the mezzo’s Carnegie Hall farewell recital. Ms. Wilson is currently the pre-opera lecturer for Livermore Valley Opera. Her music directing experience includes productions of The Fantasticks and Mozart’s Così fan tutte.
