Genevieve Heyward at the Rising Star Mill

Join us for the kickoff of the 2026 Music at the Mill concert series with a special performance by Wisconsin native and recent American Idol Top 20 contestant Genevieve Heyward.

Blending acoustic rock with soulful vocals, Genevieve brings a powerful and engaging stage presence that has captivated audiences across the region. This opening night concert is expected to draw strong interest and is a great opportunity to experience live music in one of Portage County’s most unique historic settings.

Set inside the 1868 Rising Star Mill in Nelsonville, this intimate concert offers a one-of-a-kind atmosphere where history, music, and community come together.

All proceeds from this concert support the Portage County Historical Society and its ongoing operation and stewardship of the Rising Star Mill.
