About This Event
This Mental Health Awareness Month, prioritize your wellbeing — wholeheartedly. 🌿✨
Join Muslim Women Professionals (MWP) for an intentional afternoon centered on whole-person wellness for Muslim women navigating both career ambition and personal responsibility. Our Burnout to Barakah: Restoring Balance as a Muslimah Workshop is designed to help you reconnect with yourself — mentally, physically, and spiritually — in a space that understands the unique cultural dynamics we carry as Muslimahs.
Led by Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Aleena Kaka, and Licensed Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Maisam Hasan, this event will bridge the gap between our mind and body for an interactive conversation and workshop about what it truly means to thrive — not just push through. From navigating culturally sensitive expectations or boundaries and identifying burnout in both professional and personal life, to navigating physical symptoms in our bodies through diet changes, hormones or stressors, this workshop offers practical tools rooted in both clinical expertise and lived understanding from fellow Muslim health professionals.
Here’s what you can expect –
✨ Culturally-Aware Conversations & Burnout Prevention: Aleena will walk us through an interactive presentation and workshop to learn how to navigate family, community, and workplace expectations with confidence, clarity, and healthy boundaries. You’ll also be able to understand the signs of emotional and mental exhaustion, and how to create sustainable rhythms that protect your peace long-term.
✨ Mind-Body Integration: Dr. Maisam Hasan will explore how diet, hormones, nervous system regulation, and physical imbalances impact mood, stress, and overall wellbeing. She’ll directly share what tests you need to be asking for, habits you need to start to develop, and practical strategies to ensure that symptoms of burnout and generally your health as a woman are being clearly addressed.
✨ Grow Your Network: Meet the MWP Team and women from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about empowering one another—professionally and personally. This topic not only resonates with MWPs in the healthcare field, but all of us across industries!
✨ Wholehearted Alignment: Whether you’re leading, building, caregiving, studying, or managing all of the above, this workshop offers a grounded, supportive and cozy space to recalibrate and realign. Walk away with useful methods to help you become the healthiest, most balanced version of yourself — without sacrificing your ambition or your values.
💸 Early bird pricing will be available for a limited time and tickets will start at $25/person. Once the period for early bird tickets has passed, prices will increase to $35/person, so make sure you get your tickets ASAP. Once the event is completely sold out, we will not be adding more spots.
Success feels different when it’s sustainable - walk away with useful methods to help you become the healthiest, most balanced version of yourself, without sacrificing your ambition or your values. 💛
